Everything to play for
An easy victory over Frinton and losses for the top 2 mean Braintree 1st XI go into second place in the table and into the last week of the season knowing 20 points will secure promotion and possibly the title. The 2nd XI also had an easy victory and are already promoted and still in with a chance of snatching the title.

2009 3rd XI
The club will be entering a 3rd XI into the Two Counties Div 9 in the 2009 season. More details to follow later.

New Senior & Junior Members wanted
The club is always looking to increase the number of people playing cricket and we have a lot to offer members of all ages. If you are interested in joining the junior section please call Ian Golds on 01376 347663. We are currently completing our Clubmark accreditation and we have also adopted the ECB Safe Hands initiative to ensure your child is in the best possible hands at the club. New shirt sponsors - S & M Contractors
The club is pleased to announce that S & M Contractors will be the new shirt sponsors for the 2008 & 2009 season. S & M Contractors Ltd are a medium sized Civil Engineering and Groundworks contractor based at Great Yeldham, Essex. They carry out contracts in the whole of East Anglia and East London, including a contract working on the 2012 London Olympics site in Stratford. S & M can be contacted on 01787 236060

For the 2008 season, we have:
1st XI - Marshall Hatchick Two Counties Division 4.
2nd XI - Marshall Hatchick Two Counties Division 8.
Sunday XI - Friendly cricket for all ages and abilities.
The club also has U11, U12, U13, U14 and U16 Youth teams that compete within local leagues and cups, plus an U10 "Kwik Cricket" group.
